These days, more and
more people are turning to natural health remedies for
their ailments and health maintenance. Furthermore,
natural remedies and supplements are being touted by more doctors
and nutritionists, too.
There is the old adage, "an ounce of prevention is
worth a pound of cure", and that's part of the underlying
philosophy of natural health remedies, as opposed to the
heavy use of synthetic pharmaceuticals or highly invasive
and expensive surgeries. There are appropriate and
necessary times to use pharmaceuticals, just as there are
times when surgery is needed for something, but the truth
is that we are vastly over-prescribing medications, and
we are not coming close to avoiding surgery or the need
for it as much as we could and should.

Even if we are already sick or injured, often times natural remedies work just as well as drugs or invasive bodily treatment would, and they do so without the terrible side effects of those methods.
