My Experience With A Vitamin B6 Overdose

A couple of years ago I was telling my cousin about my carpel tunnel syndrome and she said her husband took vitamin B6 and it helped so I started taking a 50 mg. tablet of B6 every day.

My arms and legs gradually started to hurt but I didn't put it together with the B6 until about 6 months later. I was telling my cousin's husband that I still had the carpel tunnel syndrome and he said to take 2 tablets because that is what he was taking and so I started taking 2 a day.

Within just a few days, I became so stiff and sore that I could barely walk up and down the stairs and so then I put together that the reason I started hurting 6 months earlier must have been because of the 1 tablet of 50 mg. so I stopped taking the B6 altogether and sure enough, my pain went away gradually.

I did some research on the internet and found out that you can overdose on B6 and it can cause nerve damage but when I told that to my cousin's husband, he refused to stop taking it because he was convinced that if he stopped taking it, then his carpel tunnel would return. He is 65 years old and is so stiff and sore that he walks around like an 80 year old man. I think it could very well be the vitamin B6 that he continues taking.
